We are now looking for a Technical Field Support Manager to strengthen our presence in Norway. This is a key role for a hands-on technical expert who enjoys being close to customers, combining deep product knowledge with practical field support and commercial understanding.
Your Mission
As Technical Field Support Manager, you’ll be BEA’s local technical ambassador – the go-to expert for our products and solutions in Norway. You’ll work closely with installers, integrators, and partners, providing technical support, training, and on-site assistance. Your role will be pivotal in building awareness of BEA’s technology, strengthening customer relationships, and supporting the continued growth of our Norwegian business.
What You’ll Do
1. Technical Support
Provide on-site support for complex or escalated technical cases.
Assist in commissioning large-scale installations (“project start-ups”).
Analyse recurring technical issues and escalate when needed.
Collaborate with BEA’s Technical Support Department to ensure top product performance.
Conduct field testing and trials, providing local technical feedback.
Support local sales and customer service teams with technical expertise.
2. Training & Knowledge Sharing
Deliver technical product training to installers, integrators, and partners.
Promote industry standards (e.g. EN16005) through workshops and local advocacy.
Offer hands-on training tailored to real-world use cases – in Norwegian.
Act as a trusted educator for both technical and commercial audiences.
3. Market Engagement
Build and maintain relationships with installers, integrators, and key users.
Gather market insights and competitive intelligence.
Participate in regional events, technical committees, and key projects.
Represent BEA as a technical authority in the Norwegian market.
Who You Are
You are an enthusiastic problem solver with a passion for technical products, preferably with some history in the automatic door business.
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electromechanics, Automation, or a similar field – or equivalent experience in a technical B2B role.
You have 3–5 years’ experience in technical support, field engineering, or pre-sales.
You speak Norwegian and English fluently (additional Scandinavian languages are an advantage).
You enjoy meeting people and are comfortable spending around 50% of your time travelling within Norway.
You are a confident trainer and communicator, able to explain complex topics in a simple way.
You combine strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured and pragmatic mindset.
You thrive in both independent and collaborative settings, and you’re not afraid to step out of your comfort zone.
